The Basler Electric MVC 112 Manual Voltage Control is a generator excitation backup control device designed to provide manual regulation of generator field excitation during startup, commissioning, testing, or automatic voltage regulator (AVR) failure conditions. It allows operators to isolate the AVR and manually adjust generator output voltage to maintain system operation.

The MVC 112 provides regulated DC field power through a solid-state SCR bridge, with output adjustment controlled by a front-panel potentiometer. An Auto/Off/Manual selector switch enables transfer between automatic voltage regulator control and manual excitation control. It is commonly used in industrial generator systems, power plants, marine applications, and critical standby power equipment requiring reliable excitation backup.
